Extension possibilities for a playground or an amusement park

Developing social life: pavilion - herbary - café - restaurant - sanitation

There are more possibilities for provoking more fantasy in children's life, for example the installation of a pavilion for little handicraft works aside the playground, or a little pavilion for exhibitions or for events, tournaments etc. According to the climate the possibilities are different. When winter times are cold also a playing hall can be aside for children during rainy or winter days. And also sanitation should never be forgotten.

Add to this a very good combination is a playground with a little café or with a restaurant aside so the parents can have conversations with other people but they can also see their children on the play ground. Such a little café or restaurant will also have what is normally missing on a playground: proper sanitation and eventually also a baby place for changing napkins.

More enrichments for a playground would be a herbary aside for children with interests for plants to the children will also learn at the same time what is used in the kitchen.

And when the playground should be also attractive for the parents also a little amphitheater may be installed for little events, concerts or other events where children and parents get in common new mental stimulations. Some echo is needed in the amphitheater so the concert will be heard, and grassy steps are not so appropriate in this case.

Theme park "Swiss Miniature" ("Switzerland in little scale") in Melide, canton of Ticino, Switzerland
In Melide big models of buildings and mountains of Switzerland are presented. There are 130 buildings and mountains on 14,000 m2 in a scale of 1:25 [web01]. The park is also a botanical event with over 1,550 different plants, all in all over 15,000 flowers [web02]. The park is a very good orientation for youths when they have no book culture or when they are not collecting stamps at home and where a Mercedes car is more important than excursions (children of Balkan families or from Turkey etc. where only Turkish TV is watched etc.).

A raft at the seaside or riverside

When there is a playground or public baths a a seaside or at a riverside, then there is a great possibility for youths and young adults to extend the territory when there is anchored a raft in a distance of about 30 to 50 meters, like a little island. When there are two rafts in a distance of about 30 to 50 meters then there are even more possibilities. And when one raft has got a diving board or a diving tower this is even better yet.

A raft can be made of empty barrels and with a wooden floor on them which is drying fast. On a raft also events can be organized (concerts, plays). Noise regulations have to be respected. A concert on a raft in a residential area cannot last the whole night long.
