Bang Kwang Central Prison
from
English Mossad Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bang_Kwang_Central_Prison
Bang Kwang Central Prison (Thai: เรือนจำกลางบางขวาง; RTGS: Rueancham Klang Bang
Khwang) is a men's prison in Nonthaburi
Province, Thailand, on the Chao Phraya River
about 11 km north of Bangkok. It is a
part of the Department of Corrections.
Bang Kwang is the site of the men's death
row and the execution chamber of Thailand.
As of 2018 the prison had about 6,000
inmates.[1]
History
The prison houses many foreign prisoners.
It is a harsh prison that handles death
row and long-sentence prisoners. All
prisoners are required to wear leg irons
for the first three months of their
sentences.[2]
Death row inmates were required to have
their leg irons permanently welded on,[2]
although this practice ended in 2013.[3]
In the book The
Damage Done, former prisoner
and drug courier Warren Fellows
recounts that the prison was nicknamed
"Big Tiger" by the Thais because it
"prowled and ate".[4]
Fellows's associate Paul Hayward
also served part of his sentence there.
Death
row
Bang Kwang contains Thailand's primary
men's death row and
execution chamber. Death rows for both men
and women also are present in provincial
prisons.[5]
As of March 2018, 510 persons remained on
death row nationwide.[6]
As of 1995 there was one man from the
United Kingdom on death row at Bang Kwang,
Alan John Davies. He was the first
European to receive a death sentence in
Thailand. He was freed after 17 years of
"hell" in the Bang Kwang prison, returning
to the UK in 2007 after being granted
amnesty by the king.[7][8]
Chaovaret Jarubon, the last executioner
in Thailand to kill by gunfire, died in
2012, having executed 55 prisoners during
his career. He wrote an autobiography in
2006, The Last Executioner, and
co-wrote A Secret History of the
Bangkok Hilton, with Pornchai
Sereemongkonpol.[9]

Bang Kwang (officially Bang Kwang Central Prison,
RTGS: Rueancham Klang
Bang Khwang) is a men's high-security detention
center in the province of Nonthaburi, northeast of
Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
Bangkwang is also known as "Bangkok Hilton" or
"Big Tiger". It is considered one of the most
unpleasant prisons in the world. In particular
drug dealers and drug owners are taken into
custody there. All over the world, webcams are
installed for documenting the daily routine of
around 6,000 inmates, including around 1,000
prisoners sentenced to death. Cameras are directed
at the 65 prisoners currently on death row 24
hours a day. It is planned to broadcast the daily
routine and the last moments in the life of a
prisoner live via webcam all over the world.
[This is not only complete abuse of
privacy but making a business with deads].
Prisoners are killed in prison for unexplained
causes. The embassies of the EU countries ensure
the supply of vitamins and supplementary food for
their sentenced nationals so that they stay alive.
The prison is on Amnesty International's watch
list.

Bang Khwang Central Prison or Grand Prison is a
prison for the detention of criminals. The prison
is under the supervision of the Ministry of
Justice's Correction Department. People sit here
with a prison sentence of 15 years to the death
penalty [1]. The prison has the following address:
117 Moo 3, Nonthaburi 1 Road, Suan Yai District,
Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province -
Thailand. The prison was built next to the Bang
Phraek Tai temple.
History
The Bang Kwang Central Prison was founded in 1933
on an area of 136 rai [1 Rai=1600m2 -

surrounded by a 6 meter high wall with an electric
high voltage fence. There is a tower with 24 hour
marksmanship. When the death penalty was changed
from amputation to target shooting in 1935, this
facility was used as a death sentence [2]. 319
deaths have been registered in prison so far [3].
These were 316 male and 3 female prisoners [4].
Since the law in Article 9 of the Penal Code
changed and after its entry into force on October
19, 2003, executions have been carried out using
syringes.

Video protocol:
The traditional prison career begins like
this: The enthusiasm for Thailand - some
tourists go bankrupt and then become a drug
courier
Thailand can be very happy, with neon lights,
tuktuk taxis, beach life, nightlife, clear
beaches, big disco on the beach, where you dance
until sunrise and people from all over the world
come here (15 ''). With the scooter you can
drive the beautiful mountains in northern
Thailand, to the small towns where Thais with
dreadlocks serve all the runaway tourists (26
''). Then there are people who cannot count and
who always want to stay in Thailand because they
are fed up with the night shifts at Amazon (32
''). such people just stay one more night in
Chiang Mai and then in Bangkok and then you have
to go home, that makes you depressed (38 '').
Then you meet an agent in a restaurant who
offers you the job as a drug courier, and you
immediately get cash, carry drugs in a bag from
one country to another, and each trip is paid
with a few thousand dollars (1 '4' ').
Many books in Thailand about prison stays -
drug smugglers smuggling heroin land in prison
So in the bookstores of Thailand you can always
find books about people who have experienced a
Thai prison (1'10 ''). They just wanted to spend
a while in Thailand and not go home yet (1'12
''). Thailand is a hub for global drug
trafficking (1'17 ''). Since metamphetamines are
produced in Myanmar, in gigantic laboratories,
and local drug couriers then smuggle them to
Thailand (1'24 ''). Someone must then take the
drugs out of the country [to the western world]
(1'26 ''). The "Golden Triangle" [border region
Thailand-Laos-Myanmar] was once the worldwide
center of opium production (1'30 ''), when
heroin was mainly sold to the West (1'34 '').
Many foreigners took part as drug couriers and
ended up in Thai prisons, some made a lot of
money smuggling drugs, others only sold drugs in
tourist towns (resort towns) and at the same
time enjoyed the nightlife in Phuket or Pattaya
(1'46 '') . Thailand has many foreigners in its
prisons, more than many other countries, and
this is described in many books (1'53 '').
Thailand: Benny Moafi does not
want to pay the protection money - the police
invent a gun possession without license
Nightlife in Thailand: Protection money for
the police ("Tea Money") - the Benny Moafi
case: He did not want to pay and was in Thai
prisons for almost 10 years
Then there is corruption. We present here the
true story of a man, half Iranian, half Swedish,
with the name Benny Moafi, who left Sweden,
opened a bar and restaurant in Thailand in
Phuket, all on the beautiful Andaman coast of
Thailand (2'5 '' ). In the end, he shocked many
people in Thailand with his book because other
people experienced the same things (2'8 '').
Foreigners in Thailand and Thais who live in
Phuket know that as the head of a nightlife
venue there is a protection money to pay to the
police, a kind of mafia tax (2'19 ''). In
Thailand this is called "Tea Money" (2'21 '').
With theise bribes, police is cashing millions
[of dollars] (2'24 ''). Benny didn't want to pay
because he said it was a legal business (2'27
''). Then they tricked himhim and invented a
crime he never committed and had to spend almost
10 years in Thai prisons (2'34 '').
Benny Moafi in Thai prison: 400,000 baht
refused to pay - he learns Thai, learns law,
persecutes criminal police and lawyers - an
attorney steals 400,000 baht and 1 car - Benny
snatches him and the lawyer loses his license
Criminal Thailand police urging Benny Moafi to
pay a bribe of 400,000 Baht: "Pay us 400,000
baht and we'll let you go")
During his prison stay, he learned Thai, graduated
with a law in Thai, understood Thai law, and then
he started suing the prisons for violations of
prisoners' rights (2'46 ''). And everyone who
acted against him also got his trial, a total of
207 cases and over 1200 complaints against lawyers
(2'55 ''), police officers, and the Correction
Department, and many of the corrupt were convicted
of crimes ( 3'1 ''). By the way, the police
offered him a deal before being transported to
prison: he should pay 400,000 baht ($ 13,000), and
then we will let you go (3'8 ''). Moafi said,
however, that they cannot imprison me without
proof, they have not more than a photocopy of a
weapon (3'10 ''). Then there was a witness who
worked with the police, but overall Benny thought
that he would win his case (3'18 ''). He spent
months in a dirty prison, he lossed a lot of
weight and now, he decided to pay the 400,000 baht
(3'24 ''). He reports that he got sick in prison
and lost 20 kg, so he decided to pay the money. He
gave the money to a lawyer but this lawyer stole
it (3'32 ''). The lawyer also stole Benny's car
(3'34 ''). Benny was later able to pursue this
lawyer and the lawyer lost his lawyer license
(3'36 '').
Fictitious offense at Benny Moafi: police is
inventing a gun ownership without license - only
a copy of a revolver is shown
(Moafi on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/Bennymoafi)
Police and lawyers stole his house, cars, gold,
everything he owned (3'38 ''). During his prison
term, he had 17 lawyers and he reported that
everyone has only stolen his money from him and
had never helped (3'46 ''). Only the 18th lawyer
helped him, one of 18 (3'49 ''). There is no
honesty in the Thai prison system and in the Thai
judiciary system (4'1 ''). Benny was innocent in
prison only because of a copy of a revolver and
was accused of not having a gun license, but he
never had possessed any gun (4'10''). So Thailand
is a criminal country of the worst kind (4'11 '').
Justice system in Thailand is just terrorism
with invention of delicts like possessing a
weapon without license, but the proof is only a
copy of a weapon
Torture, teeth are out, wounds stitched -
overpriced bananas in prison - ankle cuffs
violate human rights
Criminal prisons in Thailand: beatings, torture,
serious bodily harm, teeth are out -
Criminal Prisons in Thailand: Shackles in
Bangkok Hilton Prison
Benny states that he has been tortured many times,
some teeth have been knocked out and many wounds
had to be sewn (4'19 ''). Benny was persistent and
bored the guards with lawsuits against the
prisons, over and over again (4'23 '').
Overpriced banana case: Bananas were
sold to the prisoners in prisons, but at three
times of the price in the street (4'25 ''). Benny
filed a lawsuit against the prison for this and
won (4'30 '').
Case of ankle cuffs vs. human rights:
Benny was repeatedly put on ankle cuffs and Benny
thought that this condition in ankle cuffs would
violate certain human rights (4'35 ''). He
complained again. One of the guards announced that
if Benny would be killed, no one would be
persecuted (4'41 ''). But he was not killed
because he wanted to improve the system (4'44 '').
He was therefore very popular with fellow inmates.
Case of missing TV in prison: once
he sued a prison for missing TVs, and then the TVs
came very quickly (4'50 '').
Case of using a loophole: He found a
legal loophole in the prison law and then applied
it. That didn't make him more popular with the
guards (4'54 '').
Folter im Thailand-Gefängnis: Flusswasser
trinken - Schweine-Essen essen müssen - gutes
Essen+Wasser zukaufen müssen
Torture in the Thailand prison: drinking river
water - having to eat food for pigs - having to
buy good food + real water
Some books written by ex-prisoners also describe
the torture when they were obliged to drink
original river water (4'59 ''). And whoever sits
in a prison in Bangkok and has to drink river
water from the Praya River, drinks a right
poisoned soup (5'5 ''). The prison food is hardly
edible (5'8 ''). The prisoners [who have money]
can buy good food and clean water for an extra
charge (5'12'').
Prison guards have low wages [this seems to be on
purpose] and that is why they blackmail the
prisoners, and the money by blackmail is like a
second income for them (5'18 ''). Benny said it
this way: "They deliberately prepared the food so
terribly that it could not be eaten, and so the
guards could still sell the uneaten food as pig
food." (5'26").
Thailand: Ministry of Prison = Ministry of
Corruption
So everything that happens in prison does not come
from the Ministry of Prison, but from the Ministry
of Corruption (5'30 '').
Thailand with terrorism in prisons: the
correction department is a corruption department
Book by Colin Martin: "Welcome to
Hell" about prisons in Thailand
Book by Colin Martin: "Welcome to Hell" about the
"Bangkok Hilton" prison [1]
The case of Colin Martin, an Irishman - Thai
police blackmail him into signing a Thai text he
doesn't understand - book "Welcome to Hell"
Thailand with police terrorism: The criminal
police invents a text in Thai with a fictitious
crime, the detainee does not understand anything
of it and the criminal police says: confess or
we will shoot you
There are many more horror stories (5'33 ''). It
has to be mentioned that there are even more
stories of Western prisoners who were cheated out
of their money and who were then killed or ended
up in prison (5'40 ''). An Irishman, Mr. Colin
Martin, described his case at the police
interrogation as follows (5'44 ''): "They
threatened to kill me if I did not confess, and
once a gun was held to my head and they shouted
that they would kill me if I didn't sign this
statement, which was prepared in Thai (5'51 ").
They said they would simply say that I was shot
while trying to escape (5'54"). He wrote his book
about it: "
Welcome to Hell" (5'57
''). (
Amazon
Link)
So you get arrested and don't even know what's
going on. Nobody speaks English and you are asked
to sign documents (6'4 ''). So heaps of
confessions are signed without knowing it (6'8
''). The victims are sent to prison and kept in a
cell (6'10 ''). Until the judgment you have to
wear ankle cuffs (6'13 ''). This can take months
or years, and it may be that you don't know anyway
what is going on in court without knowledge of
Thai or without any translator (6'20 ''). Some
prisoners have to live in ankle cuffs until the
end of their sentence, and in many cases the iron
rings provoke cuts in the skin and provoke
dangerous infections (6'27 ''). Some prisoners
describe the sounds of ankle cuffs like slavery in
ancient Rome (6'33 '').
[Prison system and justice system in
Thailand is stone age].
Conditions in the prison Bang Kwang (also
called: "Bangkok Hilton" - "Big Tiger")
Bangkok: The list of the names for the prison
Bang Kwang near Bangkokg: Bangkok Hilton or also
Big Tiger
The worst prisons in Thailand are "Bang Kwang"
("Bangkok Hilton"), Thais also know it as "Big
Tiger", because some prisoners who are brought
there never get out any more (6'45''). This is not
an exaggeration: If you have no money, you cannot
buy reasonable food in prison (6'50 ''). The first
night is in a cell with 60 people or more (6'54
''). It's like in a sardine can (6'56 ''). The
heat is unbearable, the skin itches, mosquitoes
are everywhere (7'0''). Then diarrhea occurs
because without any money you are forced to eat a
fish head soup (7'4 '').
Thailand prison: prison hall for 60 men with
only 1 toilet - often people is found dead early
in the morning
For 60 men, there is one toilet in the corner. And
everyone is in ankle cuffs (7'9 ''). Well, the
toilet is just a hole in the floor, and at night
one has to step over the other people, you nudge
the people, then you have to make noise in the
toilet and then you get hit for it (7'14 ''). Many
foreign prisoners have suicidal thoughts on the
first day in Thai prison (7'20 ''). And also the
following can happen: You sleep at night and wake
up in the morning next to a dead neighbor (7'23
''). Well, in "Big Tiger" prison this is normal
and happens again and again (7'26 '').
Book by Warren Fellows about
criminal prisons in Thailand
Book by Warren Fellows: The Damage Done. 12 years
of hell in Bangkok prison [12]
You can e.g. read the book of
Warren
Fellows "
The Damage Done"
edited by David McMillan's, he became an
international drug smuggler, and there are many
deadly scandals about Thai prisons (7'36 '').
Thailand prison: After trying to escape, the
legs are smashed with a baseball bat
He tells that some didn't want to accept it, but
after theyr trial to escape they were caught and
then their legs were smashed with baseball bats
(7'42 ''). These people can then no longer walk
straight (7'44 ''). It's not legal, but the system
is going on like this on and on (7'47 '').
Incidentally, McMillan [Warren Fellows?] is the
only one who managed to escape from the Klong Prem
prison (7'53 ''). He knew that if he were caught,
he would [officially] have an "accident" and then
be physically disabled (7'57 '').
Thailand prison: prison guards beat prisoners
to death - and they enjoy it
Prison administrators' beatings are not just a
slap in the face, but some books report in details
how a prisoner is beaten to death in the front of
anyone else (8'6 ''). This way they keep the
prisons under control (8'9 ''). The "discipline"
ends fatally, there have been many reports
recently (8'10 ''). In 2008, a Thai woman was
filing a lawsuit against a prison when her husband
died in prison in the guards' hands and she wanted
to see his body again (8'18 ''), and then she
reported, "I was shocked to see his body. My
question is: Why are prison guards allowed to do
this to a prisoner? " (8'22 '')
The human rights organization Human Rights Watch
said that the barbaric practice of heavy beatings
causes prisoners to die too often, but the Thai
authorities don't care and think it is still too
little. "(8'29 '') -
[The reason for this killing mentality
is that Thai culture of primitive men has got a
kickboxing tradition and they are often fighting
each other almost to death].
Thailand Prison: Example of a punishment:
Standing in a full barrel of toilet waste water
Another example of a punishment: You have to stand
in a waste water barrel all day long, i.e. up to
your neck in hot faeces (8'38 ''). This terrible
punishment has not been reported for a long time
(8'42 '').
Thailand: Heroin sale in prison by prison
guards at four times the street price
Not surprisingly, many prisoners then switch to
heroin, which is sold by the prison guards in
prison (8'49 ''). They simply sell the heroin that
was previously confiscated by drug smugglers and
then the wards are selling it for four times the
street price (8'55 ''). As in the "USA", Thai
prisons are mostly filled with people who have
committed drug-related delicts (8'58 ''),
allegedly 70% of delicts are drug-related offenses
(9'1 '').
Thailand: 4 years in prison for 5 yaba pills
It's not always about huge sums. There was a man
in Chiang Mai who was jailed for 5 years for only
5 yaba pills (9'7 ''). In Thai, Yaba means "crazy
medicine" (9'10 ''). So these are methamphetamines
(9'12 '').
Thailand: AIDS in prison - deadly prison
hospitals
Additionally, AIDS is also there because so many
men in prison share the needle (9'14 ''). One
inmate reported that the prison hospital was the
worst place in the prison (9'17 ''). He said that
people who end up there often don't come back
(9'21 ''). What happens when nobody is beaten?
(9'24 '') Well, on a normal day you get up at 6
a.m., then you go into the courtyard and take a
shower with a pot of water that you pour over
yourself (9'31 ''). Then there is a disgusting
breakfast, and everyone who has money in their
account does not eat it (9'35 ''), but many people
in prison are poor and have not one single cent
(9'37 '').
Drug smugglers come from Africa and from the
native tribes from the Thai mountains
The prisons in Thailand are full of African drug
smugglers who cannot make contact with their home
country, and there are also members of indigenous
people from the Thai mountains who have no money
(9'45 '').
Thailand: Prison jobs: Western prisoners hire
the poor prisoners for work
In some Thai prisons, paid jobs are offered (9'45
''). So, in any case, a part of the life will be
in prison there with the food, and then also the
national anthem is sung (9'50 ''). Western
prisoners reported that they paid to sleep in a
cell with fewer people (9'56 ''). They also paid
poorer detainees to do jobs such as doing laundry
or cooking food (10'0 ''). You can buy food with
cash, but it is limited (10'3 '').
Thailand: Western prisoners are groupeding
themselves in smaller cells
Western prisoners often try to get into a cell
together, like in the "US" prisons with a bit of
ethnic separation (10'9 '').
Thailand: Prisons without gangs - but there are
killers
Something is good in Thailand's prisons: There is
no gang crime like in the "USA", but you shouldn't
make a mistake anyway, because there are killers
in the prisons who kill you for a cigarette (10'19
'').
Book by Billy Moore about Thai
prisons
Book by Billy Moore: A prayer before dawn. A
nightmare in Thailand [10]
There is a book by
Billy Moore
which was made a film of it: A Prayer Before Dawn
(10'21 ''). When he experienced the first day in a
prison in Chiang Mai, one died in his cell (10'26
''). He reports that 25 bodies were carried out of
the prison in a week (10'30 ''). "There was
murder, rape, corruption, humiliation (10'36 '').
It was unimaginable and you couldn't talk to
anyone about it." (10'39 '').
Thailand migration prison with gangs who beat
up Americans
In 2019, a "US" American came to a Thai
immigration prison for overstay, etc., and he
wound up dead (10'50 ''). A British man who shared
the cell with him said the Ami had been tortured
and beaten daily by other men (10'54 ''). He was
not an spy, not a member of the gang, and the
British man simply said that the gang did not
agree with his nationality as a "US" citizen
(10'59 '').
A prison inmate from UK describes Thailand's
immigration prison like a concentration camp -
blows to those who don't speak Thai
There was another case recently, a British man who
ended up in an immigration prison. He described
the prison as a concentration camp (prisoners of
war camp) (11'5 ''). The British man had ended up
in the migration prison because he had worked in
Thailand without the correct visa (11'5 ''). He
reported that he saw beatings daily and the prison
guards only watched (11'11 ''). He said about the
guards: "If you don't understand what they said" -
and that's what most of them do - "they just beat
you up." (11'17 '')
Thailand prison: Years of imprisonment for
those who have no money for a flight
And some of the prisoners were locked up there for
years because they had no money to fly to leave
Thailand (11'22 ''). The judgments of the Thailand
judiciary are brutal, and it is widely known that
you can only get a few years for a murder, but
lifelong for drug possession (11'32 '').
Thailand prison: 50 years in prison for 200
ecstasy pills
A British man was recently sentenced to 50 years
in prison for owning 200 ecstasy pills (11'36 '').
In 2019, a 5-time murderer who had killed 5 women
and was called "Thailand's Jack the Ripper" was
released after 14 years in prison, and then he
murdered again (11 '44' ').

Thailand mit Terrorismus in Gefängnissen gegen
Unschuldige mit langer Haft+Folter, der Fall
Maofi
Haft in Thailand (11'55'').
korrupte Polizist nannte mich "Key Knew" [geizig],
weil ich das Schmiergeld nicht bezahlte."
(12'4''). Benny blieb in Thailand und startete
eine Rechtshilfe für Ausländer, die in
Schwierigkeiten stecken (12'9'').
Dort schlafen in
einem Raum 60 Leute und müssen Schweinefutter
essen.
Erniedrigung (12'38'').

Hilfspakete für Gefangene in den kriminellen
Gefängnissen in Thailand

Aid packages for prisoners in criminal prisons
in Thailand
The criminal prisons in Thailand are now so well
known that tourists come to the prisons and act as
sponsors for prisoners and then send them
packages. Instead of positively changing the
criminal prison system in Thailand, the same
system is supported by "aid packages" from outside
(!). And the guards may steal what they like from
the packages ...
The article (excerpt):
<The story of Rien Parlevliet
By the time, Rien was in prison for 7 years
already. “At the airport I struck up a
conversation with a man in line at customs,” he
says. “What I didn’t know was that he had a bag
full of heroin with him. Because I was talking
to him, I automatically became co-defendant. And
then you suddenly end up in a Thai prison from
one day to another.”
And that isn’t pleasant, if I have to believe
Rien. “You sleep with 60 man in a cell on the
floor, you don’t get enough food and have to sit
in the scorching sun most of the day. It happens
regularly that someone is beaten up. But the
women’s prison is even worse; the conditions
over there are totally inhuman.”
We talk for a while about little things and
before I know the 30 minutes are passed and time
is over. It’s common to send the prisoner a
package with personal wishes in it. Rien says
he’s craving for some shampoo, coffee and
cigarettes. After my visit, I go to the shop to
buy this stuff and send it to prison.>
